The FUE beard hair transplant is a treatment to treat bald spots in a beard. This can range from a small patch the size of a fingerprint, to an entire beard. Beard transplant results are permanent and the transplanted hair can be cared for in the same way as original beard hair. This treatment is less suitable for transplanting a nonexistent beard (no beard growth). The structure of head hair is generally finer than beard hair. When a fully transplanted beard is worn for a longer period of time, this structural difference becomes evident during beard implantation. If the beard remains trimmed after beard transplantation, then it does give a nice result.

FUE beard hair transplantation method

In beard transplantation, the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) method allows for hair-saving treatment. Hair saving means that in the area where the hair is extracted (the back of the head), only a narrow strip is trimmed. The rest of the hair can be kept long. In the FUE beard transplant method, the placement of grafts is more complex than in a regular FUE treatment. Course of beard transplant treatment

A beard transplant is usually done using the FUE method. One by one, the assistants extract the grafts from the donor area on the back of your head. After making the incisions, the grafts are placed one by one in the area to be treated. After the beard transplant treatment, the wounds from the incisions will heal after an average of ten days. The results will be fully visible eight to 12 months after the treatment. The beard transplant results ensure that the transplanted grafts will continue to produce new hairs for life.

Number of grafts for one treatment

The number of grafts needed depends on the area to be treated and the desired transplant density. The number of grafts in a beard transplant can range from 50 to 1250 grafts. Because of this, beard transplant costs also vary from one treatment to another.
