Bij Zantman Kliniek wordt de prijs van een haartransplantatie berekend op basis van het daadwerkelijke aantal succesvol geplaatste grafts en niet het aantal geadviseerde of uitgehaalde grafts. De grafts worden tijdens een behandeling geteld en deze informatie wordt met u gedeeld. De focus ligt op het zorgvuldig behandelen met een natuurlijke haarinplant en een hoge slagingskans van de getransplanteerde grafts. Er wordt behandeld met het oog op de lange termijn, waarbij het uitgangspunt is dat iedere graft kostbaar is. Met het behandeladvies voorafgaand aan de behandeling, wordt rekening gehouden met mogelijk toekomstige haaruitval en het reserve donormateriaal wat daarvoor nodig is.

Op basis van het te behandelen gebied kunt u als indicatie rekening houden met het volgende aantal grafts:

The table below lists prices including any applicable offers. A surcharge applies to specialty hair transplants, such as beard, frizzy hair and hair saving treatments.

During the consultation, the different treatment techniques will be discussed with you and the number of grafts required for your situation. The quality of your hair, your skin and the area to be treated is assessed by an experienced specialist. Based on this, you will receive a personal treatment plan for your hair loss and further hair loss prevention. Then you will have an overview of the hair transplant costs you can count on. How the cost of a hair transplant is determined is explored using the following 2 questions:

1. How can you avoid a costly hair transplant?

2. How can you sustainably save costs on your hair transplant treatment? 

At Zantman Clinic we consciously choose a price per graft, a treatment recommendation with enough spare grafts for the long term and a careful way of treatment. This prevents an expensive hair transplant.

In fact, a fixed price for a high number of grafts, regardless of the actual number of grafts transplanted, can cause unpleasant surprises. This kind of advice and treatment makes the treatment seem cheap, but it is paid dearly. Moreover, a cheap hair transplant can unfortunately cause permanent damage if an eye for care is lost with the focus on numbers. The scenarios that could have been better avoided at all times are:

1. The number of grafts is taken out, but not successfully reinserted. It may be that the grafts are not placed at all, in which case there would really be malpractice. You would then do well to report this to the management of the Clinic or complaint officer. It could also be that sloppy placement causes the graft to be damaged or not placed properly. A third cause may be that the treatment takes too long and the grafts are out of the skin for too long, causing damage. In all cases, you pay for non-transplanted grafts and precious grafts are lost. This is very painful, considering that most people have 3000 - 7000 grafts available to treat (future) hair loss problems. When that material is lost, it is irreparable.
2. The number of grafts is extracted, but not carefully placed: in order to place large numbers in a short time and sometimes in a relatively small treatment area, an unnatural (straight) way of implanting is chosen. This way, many grafts per square centimeter fit easily, but the result looks artificial.

Two more scenarios are possible, which fortunately do not harm the grafts or the outcome, but are equally detrimental:

1. The number of grafts is not extracted because of an over-advised number: A large difference in advised and actual transplanted grafts can be quite expensive. You then pay for grafts not placed.
2. The number of grafts is not achieved due to medical reasons: A hair transplant is a medical procedure and for a variety of medical reasons it may not succeed in transplanting the advised target number. The cost of the medical risk then lies with the client.

There are several responsible ways to lower the price of a hair transplant:

1. Choose an experienced Clinic you trust: While this may seem expensive, it can ultimately save costs by reducing the risk of complications and misunderstandings. Complications can lead to additional costs for corrective procedures or irreparable damage.
2. Choose another transplant method: There are different techniques for hair transplants. More complex hair transplants such as an FUE hair saving are generally more expensive.
3. Go for a larger transplant: If your budget is limited, consider waiting until hair loss continues (if that applies to your situation) to have a larger transplant. With a larger treatment, the price per graft is lower.
4. Go for a smaller transplant: By going for a smaller transplant and scheduling another session later, you can spread the cost over several years. One caveat, however, is that this will raise the price per graft, not lower it.
5. Take advantage of offers: Sometimes it is possible to schedule a treatment cheaper on certain dates, such as a Last Minute date.
