Volgens Joachim wordt alles in de maatschappij aangeboden volgens drie parameters: óf je bent de snelste, óf je bent de goedkoopste óf de allerbeste. Zo ziet hij een haartransplantatie ook. “Vergelijk het met boodschappen doen: Wil je snelheid, dan ga je naar de nachtwinkel. Wil je de beste prijs, dan kies je voor een discounter. Wil je kwaliteit, dan ga je naar een Italiaanse delicatessenzaak.” Voor Joachim was Zantman Kliniek die Italiaanse delicatessenzaak. “Als ze aan je hoofd gaan opereren, dan wil je gewoon dat het goed gaat. Van Belgische tv-figuren hoorde ik veel goede verhalen over Zantman Kliniek. Vervolgens las ik niets dan lovende recensies en toen wist ik het zeker.”

Joachim wants to warn others regarding the amount of grafts, the follicles from which hairs grow. "You can only transplant a limited amount of grafts in your lifetime. "I liked the attention I received during the preparation phase. I compare it to filming for television. Here it is important that you know in advance what is going to happen, so that you know exactly which shot to film where; that way you get everything right on film at once. They honestly admit that they can't perform miracles, but they get results. Sometimes you have to be treated several times, as was the case with me. Smooth treatment

Fortunately, the pain during treatment was not too bad for Joachim. "Everyone experiences pain differently, of course, but apart from a few stings from the anesthesia, the process was painless for me." The same transparency and communication that Joachim experienced beforehand also returned during the treatment. "The practitioners told me exactly what they were doing, therefore I was not tense at all. I felt relaxed during the treatment. It takes a whole day, so it was extra nice to be able to ask if I could sit down every now and then or drink some water."

Pain after treatment

You get a neck pillow for sleeping, a spray for the skin and a coldpack for cooling." Joachim lived the instructions well. "In the first few days I hardly had any pain. Of course you feel something, after all you have had surgery, but it really wasn't too bad. Only on the third and fourth day did I get slight pain when lying on a pillow. I was still a little worried, so I decided to contact Zantman Clinic." "The doctor calmly explained to me what was going on and the best thing I could do about it. According to Joachim, you have to educate yourself well. "It is a pricey procedure; then you have to be sure that it will give you enough satisfaction. That's why I think it's good to opt for quality and transparency. That way you won't encounter any surprises."

Impressed

"My surroundings responded enthusiastically. The words of my hairdresser in Washington: 'This is incredible, I did not know this works so well.' The bald spots in my front hairline are now gone and I am very satisfied with the result." And that bow? Joachim will make it in a few months with a full head of hair.
