In recent decades, hair transplant techniques have become more and more refined and improved. For a good result, not only the hair transplantation techniques are important, sufficient good donor material is still needed. Zantman Clinic performs treatments according to the FUE technique. Many variations are possible, such as micro FUE and DHI. We would like to tell you more about the different hair transplantation techniques and what they involve.
Follicular Unit ExtractionFUE) is the newest technique for hair transplantation. It is considered the best technique because it is the least invasive of the available techniques. In addition, it is the improved version of the older FUT technique. This is also the reason why FUE is now the most widely used method for hair transplantation worldwide. And this method continues to gain ground on the hair transplant FUT technique. The difference between the two is the way of extracting the grafts (groups of hair follicles) from the donor area (the back of the head). In FUT , a strip of skin is removed for this purpose. In FUE , the grafts are harvested one by one. This difference ensures faster and better recovery with FUE treatment. This is the main difference between the two different hair transplantation techniques. The FUE technique has made hair transplantation a more accessible procedure that has grown in popularity.

The FUT technique is the older version of hair transplant techniques. FUT stands for Follicular Unit Transplantation. Before the advent of FUE , this was the standard technique in the field of hair transplantation.
In the FUT technique, a strip of skin is removed from the hair crown at the back of your head. This donor area is not susceptible to hormonal changes or other causes of hair loss, so these hair roots can be used to be re-implanted elsewhere on the scalp. The hair roots retain their genetic characteristics even after removal from the hair wreath, with the result that new hair growth can occur in the areas that have gone bald.
During a day treatment, hair transplantation techniques allow many grafts to be placed, making a single treatment sufficient in most cases. A major disadvantage is that due to the wound suture, a visible scar the size of a pencil mark remains after the strip of skin is removed. With a haircut with longer hair, the scar can be camouflaged just fine.
It may sometimes be the case that treatment with the FUT method suits a client's needs better. For example, with back problems, the posture with the FUE method is a disadvantage that factors into the choice. It is therefore important to choose which of the different hair transplantation techniques suits your needs.
